Washington to require vaccines for long-term care workers

Per the proclamation from Governor Inslee today, Washington will join a handful of states which require employees of private long-term care facilities, including adult family homes, assisted living facilities, and skilled nursing facilities, to be vaccinated. Workers must be fully vaccinated by October 18, 2021, or will be terminated. Accommodations will be made for employees who have a medical or religious exemption to vaccination, but those workers may be subject to heightened safety measures to protect residents.
